A New Project...

I have been SO excited to share this with you!

The last several weeks, I have been working on some special projects for Northwest Harvest.  For those of you not as familiar, Northwest Harvest operates food banks throughout Washington, and I've had a connection to the organization since moving to Seattle in 2001, even serving as a board member. 

Anyway, I've been working with their team to create an agency video.  The under 5-minute video explains the organization and who it serves, all with a series of pictures and video clips.  I'm really proud of this video, and it goes public next week, so I'll share it with you then.

In the meantime, before putting the video together, I also worked with the team on branding.  Together, we came up with a set of goals to push Northwest Harvest's communication and marketing into 2011.  I wanted to make sure Northwest Harvest's online presence lived up to it's potential, and I needed to make sure you know how to find their efforts online. After some research, I lead the team is revamping their logo.  My argument:  Let's cash-in on the familiarity of the current logo, while making sure it also acts as a "calling card" for the Northwest Harvest website.  So, we modernized the fonts, adjusted the picture portion, and added a dot with three important letters.  What do you think?


We also needed a new brand that clearly communicates the vision of Northwest Harvest.  It needed to be simple, memorable, and it needed to make sense.  After sharing my idea with some of you, I landed on a slogan that everyone is really excited about.
